Gail Deduk

Registered Massage Therapist


Gail is a long time Ottawa resident and an honours graduate of the Algonquin College Massage Therapy program. She also has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and has been involved in many volunteer activities including coaching competitive youth basketball for 12 years. In addition to her practice at DPC, Gail works as an Outreach Supervisor at the Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre overseeing third year Algonquin College massage therapy students treating residential patients with complex conditions.


Gail combines this background in engineering and competitive coaching with an ability to assess impairments and analyze results to determine the underlying problem, develop a plan and work with the client to resolve the issues through treatment and appropriate remedial exercise and home care. Gail has experience treating medically frail clients and adapting treatments to address both general and specific issues for all her clients. She is excited to work in a multidisciplinary clinic which has access to different treatment options to get the best results for the individual.

Training and Experience

As a part of her commitment to continuing education, Gail has completed the following courses and certifications:

•   Concussion and post concussion workshop
•   Table Thai massage techniques;
•   Assessment and treatment of hip dysfunction and lower back pain;
•   Lumbopelvic muscle imbalance;
•   selected topics from 2014 RMTBC Pain;
•   conference covering management of chronic pain and pain research

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Gail has been on the board of executive of East Nepean Little League since 2005 as a registrar and was on the planning committee for the 2015 Canadian Little League Championships. Gail is an improving golfer, likes hiking, snowshoeing, and discovering all the advantages of yoga.
